A1050 aluminum alloy
A1050 is a commercially pure wrought aluminum alloy containing at least 99.5% aluminum. It belongs to the 1xxx series and offers excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and ductility. Although its mechanical strength is relatively low compared with alloyed grades, A1050 is ideal for applications where conductivity, formability and chemical inertness are more important than structural load-bearing capacity.
Typical applications
- Chemical equipment
- Food-processing machinery
- Heat-exchanger fins
- Electrical busbars
- Lighting reflectors
- Architectural cladding panels
Its high purity also makes it an excellent substrate for anodizing, producing a uniform, aesthetically appealing oxide-film finish.
